Who we are

Afterly is operated by Stacey-Ann Yanique Pearson Consulting Ltd. Pte. (UEN 202607330G), established on 13 February 2026 and operating under the laws of Singapore.

For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at hello@theafterly.com.

Information we collect

When you sign up using Google, we request access to your basic profile and email address (Google OAuth scopes: profile and email). We store the name and email address returned by Google to create and identify your account.

When you sign up using email and a password, we store your email address to create and identify your account. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and is never visible to Afterly.

You also choose what content to upload to your vault, such as documents, account details, messages and instructions. Afterly stores whatever you upload; we do not access or read the contents of your vault.

How your data is stored and protected

Content you upload to your vault is encrypted on your device before it reaches our servers, using a key derived from a vault passphrase that only you hold. Afterly cannot decrypt, read or recover the contents of your vault. Only you (and the trusted contacts you authorize after a release) can.

Your account information and encrypted vault data are hosted on secure cloud infrastructure located in the United States.

Sharing with third parties

We do not share your personal data or vault contents with third parties. Your information is never sold or rented.

To enable the release process, we send each of your Trusted Contacts a permanent, signed trigger link by email. This link lets them start a release on your behalf if needed. We do not send them any vault contents. They only receive access to the categories you authorized if a release is completed as described in our Terms of Service.

We rely on service providers to host and secure the platform (cloud infrastructure and payment processing). These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service and under contractual confidentiality obligations.

What happens when you delete your account

When you delete your Afterly account, your vault contents and uploaded files are permanently erased.

We retain basic account and billing records where required for legal, accounting and tax compliance, but your vault contents are not retained after deletion.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@theafterly.com.

Because vault contents are encrypted in a way Afterly cannot decrypt, deleting your account is the way to ensure your stored content is permanently removed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the 'last updated' date below. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
